Background Information
The task force was appointed by the Minister of Health and Long Term Care to report on the following areas of Methadone Maintenance Treatment:

  • Best Practices and Training
  • Quality Assurance and Assessment
  • Access to Methadone and Appropriate Regulatory Regime
  • Fair Payment Models
  • Community Engagement

 

Our Mandate

The purpose of the task force is to provide the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care with advice on the best approaches for the provision of methadone maintenance treatment in  Ontario.  The final report is anticipated by March 31, 2007. Recommendations will be submitted to the ministry as they are completed.
